Denim Guide
We think the best thing you can do to look after your jeans (or any denim garment) is to wash them less! Not only is this better for the environment, but it's also better for your denim. If you need to clean a little mark, try spot cleaning before washing the whole garment. Denim gets better with age, the longer you wear them before washing, the more character you will achieve that's personal to you.
If you do have to wash them, go cold and dry on the line. The best way to wash your denim is to turn it inside out and put on a cold cycle. (Don’t go higher than 30 degrees.) Washing things on a cold cycle helps maintain the colour that you know and love. When it comes to drying, hang them out on a line or a rack and keep them away from direct sunlight - stay away from the tumble dryer.
When you get to the point where your favourite jeans are so worn out that holes start appearing - don’t give up. The beauty of denim is that it can always be repaired and the patches, stitches and panels only add to the story or your garments. If you don’t want to try it at home, either contact Dala HQ and we will happily rework your favourite Dalas into something new, or take them to your local tailor.
